Police find stolen boat

Yes­ter­day, po­lice of­fi­cers of the West­ern di­vi­sion re­cov­ered a 20-foot ves­sel that was re­port­ed stolen on Mon­day 21st of June.

“Po­lice re­cov­ered a stolen ves­sel in Las Lo­mas dur­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise yes­ter­day.

Dur­ing the hours of 11am and 3:20pm on Wednes­day 14th Ju­ly 2021, of­fi­cers re­ceived in­tel­li­gence dri­ven in­for­ma­tion rel­a­tive to a 20-foot ves­sel, which was re­port­ed stolen on Mon­day 21st June 2021, from Sec­ond Av­enue, Ch­aguara­mas.

Of­fi­cers pro­ceed­ed to Sap­phire Dri­ve, Las Lo­mas, where up­on ar­rival, they con­duct­ed sur­veil­lance and ob­served the 20-foot ves­sel, which was seen, off the men­tioned road­way, par­tial­ly cov­ered with a black tar­pau­lin

Of­fi­cers then checked the ves­sel’s se­r­i­al num­ber, which con­firmed that it was the ves­sel that was re­port­ed stolen

The ves­sel was then se­cured and then con­veyed to the Ch­aguara­mas dock­ing fa­cil­i­ty

The ex­er­cise was con­duct­ed and spear­head­ed by Ag/In­sp Grant, CID and con­sist­ed of Sgt Joseph of the Care­nage Po­lice CID and of­fi­cers of the West­ern Di­vi­sion Op­er­a­tions Unit, led by Ag/Cpl Ram­nar­ine.PC Ben­jamin is con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.”
