Anti-government activists in Cuba say more than 100 people have been arrested or are missing following widespread protests on Sunday. A group which advocates for greater artistic expression in Cuba, published a list of activists it said were believed to have been detained by authorities. One person reportedly died during clashes with the police on Monday. The Interior Ministry said the man who died and other protesters had attacked officials. Thousands took to the streets to demonstrate over the collapse of the economy, food and medicine shortages, price hikes and the government’s handling of the COVID-19 epidemic. Unauthorised public gatherings are illegal in Cuba.
